The latest Deloitte 2017 Human Capital Trends report for South Africa indicates that 35% of their respondents are in the process of updating their TA strategy, and another 44% of the respondents have updated their strategy in the last 3 years.
With the current pace of business (and the skills required for businesses to be successful) combined with the changes in sourcing techniques, sourcing technology and best practice candidate engagement methods, businesses need to be constantly updating their talent acquisition strategy.
In some of our own recent research, we found that organisations that were not constantly updating :
- the way they hire,
- their approach to hiring, and
- their brand in the hiring market,
were finding themselves not only overpaying for the right talent (cost to hire) but they were also facing significant challenges in attracting the right skills (quality of hire) to support their business strategy.
